How do you introduce yourselves to others?
Introducing yourself can be a very difficult thing to do for most people if you have never worked on an elevator pitch. An elevator pitch is a persuasive sales pitch that lasts for a short period of time, generally around 30 seconds; the length of an elevator ride. To craft your elevator pitch, you have to think about the objective of your pitch, talk about yourself (the problems you solve and how you help people), and communicate you unique.

An elevator pitch is meant for business purposes regarding in sales, but many people do not think about meeting other people as a sale. I think of meeting people as you, yourself, being the product and you have to speak about it greatly in a small period of time in order to make a person buy the product. We are making transactions every single time we meet people, and it blows over our head in some instances of how to communicate properly in situations where you are just meeting a person for the first time.

Every person has their own communication style. A person may be an active or passive listener depending on the situation, but there is one style that a person will generally rely on. I happen to be an active listener who will add input during a conversation and lets my presence be known so I do not let a person feel as if I am not listening. For me, if I others are not weighing in on a topic, I feel as if the conversation is unwanted or someone is not listening, so I do the opposite because that is what I have adapted to. I would like to work on my expressions while speaking. I notice that I sometimes sound unemotional and do not sound excited even though I may be, so I have been working on speaking from my stomach and making sure that my audience knows that I am interested and happy.
Change of Writing Abilities
The comparison of my writing ability from my early undergraduate career until now is immensely different. I use language that I generally would use while speaking so my voice is heard. If you have had a conversation with me, I expect my voice and face to drift into your mind as my words are skimmed by your eyes. A cause for this change is caused from reading more literature, getting smarter (of course), learning more about the English language and communicating with people face-to-face on a daily basis.
