Ideal Role in Team Setting
While in team settings, I am able to identify every person's strengths/weaknesses and effectively assign individuals tasks. During various team assignments, I have had the misfortune of working with teams that are unable to properly communicate with each other about the task at hand. I always instinctively give a brief greeting of myself, in hopes that others follow and I then divvy out assignments once people have spoken about their strengths. As mentioned in the 'Self-Awareness' tab, one of my top five strengths includes being adaptable so no matter the task, I always feel comfortable and can efficiently finish a project with a team. Ideally, I would like to handle the task that is seen as the most complex because I love having challenges and will try my best to complete it. If I do not know how to answer or complete something, I am very good at asking others for assistance in order to get the job done.
Inclusive EnvironmentsDiversity and inclusion has been a rampant topic that has been popular in a large number of major corporations. Since working at the Greater Omaha Chamber within the D&I team, I have seen that keeping an open environment is ideal for the greatest success. Keeping verbiage open instead of speaking with restrictions keeps people included into a conversation because it does not push an agenda that is filled with biases.
For myself, I stay conscious to these things to make sure people are not excluded and feel comfortable enough to share their strengths in a collaborative way with other members. Derogatory language that expresses phobia is not appropriate for any situation and needs to be excluded from team environments because it creates negative energy amongst others. |

What do you do to create genuine, sustainable relationships in different aspects of your life?
To create relationships in modern day, I am just myself with people. I am humorous, I am sarcastic, I am intelligent, and I lead. Most people are comfortable with people who are comfortable with themselves and I keep a positive energy around me at all times. It is so easy to get caught in life's faults, especially for me, but being around people makes me feel great and I have no fear about not making relations with others. if you are to make genuine and sustainable relationships with others, you have to be genuine and sustainable yourself. Keep the negativity to a minimum and control your language because once you offend a person, it becomes hard to gain their respect back.
